Experienced Leadership

Our firm is led by Michele Palmer, a licensed landscape architect with over 30 years of experience in design, construction, and community land-use planning. An upstate New York native and Cornell University graduate, Michele is also LEED® accredited. Since 2012, she has focused her practice on planning, grant preparation, and grant administration, combining technical expertise with a deep understanding of how community focused and public projects are implemented.

Why Work With Templeton?

Unlike traditional grant preparers and administrators, we bring a design and construction lens to every project. Michele’s background as a practicing landscape architect means we understand how to phase projects, assess soft costs, and define a realistic scope of work—skills that ensure grant applications are both compelling and implementable. Our understanding of project implementation ensures our clients have good advice in project planning and phasing.

We’ve helped clients secure over $16 million in funding for projects totaling $19 million, and have administered nearly $40 million in projects, including grants prepared by others.

Affordable & Accessible

We know that limited resources often drive the need for grants in the first place. That’s why we offer our services at affordable rates, making professional planning and grant support accessible to the organizations and communities that need it most.
